This day has been specifically designed for students interested in the FSA graduate or intern programmes. This focused one day event will give you the opportunity to engage in the work of the FSA and meet the people at the heart of the business.

The programme will combine a mixture of networking with graduates and business representatives, case studies to give you an insight into the organisation’s work and skills sessions delivered jointly by the FSA and EmployAbility, to help you succeed in their assessment processes.

Requirements

The FSA require 300 UCAS points or more, and a predicted 2:1 or better.

Opportunity for first year disabled students interested in a career in financial regulation

The Financial Services Authority has partnered with EmployAbility for a 3 Day Insight Programme this summer.

The FSA offers a three day programme to first year undergraduates designed to give a full overview of their multi-faceted work. The Insight will combine a mixture of networking with graduates and business representatives, case studies to give students an insight into the work of the FSA and skills sessions to help them succeed in the assessment process.

Requirements

To apply for the programme undergraduates will need to:

  • be a first year undergraduate.
  • have 300 UCAS points or more.
  • submit the short application form
  • have a short telephone interview, demonstrating a motivation for a career in regulation.  They will be informed shortly afterward if successful in obtaining a place on the programme.

If there are extenuating circumstances which may have affected grades, this must be clearly stated on the form and/ or EmployAbility contacted for further information.

Women in High Finance Event

Credit Suisse will be hosting an informal networking event aimed at female students interested in a career in finance

Credit Suisse is a forward-thinking financial services firm providing private banking, investment banking and asset management services to clients worldwide.

The best way to get a feel for the financial industry is by meeting individuals who work in fiance. There will be employees attending this event from across the Credit Suisse business areas, ranging from Investment Banking (including Equities and Fixed Income) through to Information Technology and Finance.

If your answer to all the above is yes, then why not apply for the HSBC-Visible Women Mentoring Programme. HSBC in collaboration with the Visible Women Campaign is offering female undergraduates, in their first or penultimate year, the opportunity to be mentored by an HSBC Graduate. The formal programme will run from January – March 2011, with the experience day taking place in April 2011.
